Network Against Prohibition (NAP) - NT Chapter

The Network Against Prohibition (NAP) is a group dedicated to promoting and protecting the health and human rights of illicit drug users around the globe as well as the rights of those living in communities in developing countries who rely on opium, coca, cannabis etc for their survival! NAP originally formed in Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia, however, an expansion is underway.

Hate Mail

The NT chapter of NAP often receives hate mail and other rude emails and we thought that we should bring you some of the best.

To the people involved with the drug user group NAP,

Any one involved with NAP are IDIOTS and criminals! They know nothing about how the world works. Drugs are bad!! They ruin everything.

We need to stamp out drug use forever and all drug users should be imprisoned. The bible says that tolerance and compassion is for the righteous. You drug users will go to hell.

Don?t even bother with the ?what about nicotine or alcohol or pharmaceuticals? nonsense. Our Government says that some drugs are bad and some are all right and that is good enough for me. I for one believe and trust in my Government to do the right thing for me as I am a Christian.

GOD will deal with people like you.

Dear Sir,

You need a counter argument to all the misinformation out there in the media.

Irrespective of what people are saying about this "nice young man", here are`the facts:

1. He is not a naturally born Australian and he was allowed to resettle in Australia out of the goodness and compassion of Australia. We accepted him and his family as one of our own.

2. He had complete disregard for the help that we had extended him and his family by letting them into Australia as refugees. He has treated all right thinking Australians with contempt.

3. He attempted to smuggle drugs into our country to pollute our youth. Do you think his mother would be on TV crying if my son had died from an overdose from those drugs he was carrying? I don't think so.

4. Van should accept his fate with dignity. All of this protest is making him and his family lose face. Look at his mum. It's pathetic. Suck it in woman, stiff upper lip. We have already given him God's gift by allowing him and his family into our great society. What more help does she want. You can't help some people. The truth is that these people are just idiots. And your organisation are bigger idiots for supporting them. Do you think they care about you? Mugs, that's what you are. He must accept Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. If you want to help him tell him to do this now.

5. He has got almost no sympathy in the Australian community. The old adage "the noisiest wheel get the most oil" certainly rings true here. The fact is that most Australians support the death penalty. The government, including John Howard, probably support his execution although officially and publically they can't say this.

6. We want him to pay for what he has done, under the laws of Singapore. It doesn't matter what you think, say or do, he WILL die on Nov 11, 2005 at 6.00am, guaranteed.

I applaud the action of responsible governments in ridding the world of drug using, drug peddling trash like those your organisation supports.

It is no wonder that you are not prepared to advertise your new address with ridiculous policies like yours - someone might take the appropriate (and justified) action.

Drug-induced delusions

I am sending a reply to Mr Meyerhoff's letter. Mr Meyerhoff - until now, I have left your drug-induced delusions to yourself.

Today, I open my email to find that you have somehow acquired my company's email address, and have chosen to force your bewildering ideas at me.

I have two young children, I do my best at teaching them right from wrong, so when confronted with their peers who have failed to receive this basic training from irresponsible idiots such as yourself, they have a fighting chance of not falling for their idiotic peer pressures.

Your choice of indiscriminately sending out your misleading, irresponsible and disillusioned e-mail to all parts of society, including the young and impressionable, is downright sinful.

I did not subscribe to your ill-conceived viewpoints, nor would I want to.
How many other people did you blast your e-mail to? How many of them asked to receive such nonsense?

Of course I was disappointed to learn that you were dragged 20m, bleeding, to a police van - it should have been the coroner's van.

Now, please Mr Meyerhoff - get out of your drug induced world, pull your head in, and learn some respect for the greater society, and those who uphhold the law, making this society safe for us all, and please stop inciting dishharmony and reckless and illegal activities.

David Fleming
