Hi people. I'm Robert Fyffe. Born in Adelaide, South Australia on 15th January 1959. Have lived in Darwin, Northern Territory since 1996. Blessing in disguise.

(Published)

Perhaps the current petrol price hikes may be a
blessing in dusguise. People may now consider more
carefully whether to purchase that fat-arsed four
wheel drive, or the four cylinder commuter, to drop
the kids of at school and do the shopping. Hell,
people might even consider public transport, or a
pushbike.

The Federal and Territory governments could also do

their bit by more heavily subsidising, (or less
severely penalising), the commercial and public
transport industries. Perhaps public transport (ie.
Taxis and Buses) could actually become cheap, reliable
and efficient alternatives to having to drive yourself.
