NAP Founder Loses Fight
The Network Against Prohibition is grieving for the loss of our founding member and soldier of justice Gary Meyerhoff.
Gary William Myerhoff passed away in WA on Sat, 7 Oct 2006 from AIDS related illness.
Diagnosed HIV+ at 19, Gary was 31 when the disease finally beat him.
Whether you loved him or hated him - it was hard to ignore him.
He used his time on this earth to fight for justice for all, particularly the victims of the War on Drugs.
So everyone out there, raise your bong, pipe or crystal and have one for Gaz.
In sorrow at his passing, gratitude that his pain is over and in celebration of his life.
His funeral will be held at 9am on Wed, 10 Oct 2006 at Pinaroo Gardens, Kingsley. All friends and associates of Gaz are welcome to attend.

The 30th Smoke-In for Human Rights on Sat 11 Nov 2006 will be a celebration of Gary's life. Please come.
R.I.P.
I am glad to have known Gary and to have lived with him for a short while.
He was one of the most driven anarchist activists I have known.
He inspired me.
I remember his sense of calm in the face of trouble.
I remember occuping Clair Martins office in Parap with Gary and a bunch of others and how he was still making jokes as the cops tryed to break the door down.
He had a great activists sense (very much lacking these days) of the right moment to act.
And amongst his organization and action, he found time to party hard and laugh.
He will be missed in Australia and elsewhere and I hope the mob in Darwin can continue his resistance and change.
