Kidnap charges

TWO men accused of kidnapping a 21-year-old man from Palmerston have appeared in court.

Roy Daye and William Hewitt appeared in the Darwin Magistrates Court yesterday charged with kidnapping for ransom, unlawfully entering a dwelling at night and depriving a person of their liberty.

Mr Daye was remanded in custody to appear again on January 31 while Mr Hewitt was bailed to appear on the same date.

Thhe men were the third and fourth arrested in connection with last Thursday night's alleged kidnapping.
