Drug import man appeals

A TERRITORIAN facing drugs charges in Bulgaria will have his second appeal heard in June.

Garry David was convicted of smuggling medicines out of the Eastern European country in 2003.

He successfully appealed to the Bulgarian Supreme Court, which referred the case back to an appeal court. The appeal court upheld David's original conviction but he remains on bail pending a second appeal to the Supreme Court on June 12.
