Drug flight intercepted

A MAN who allegedly intended to charter a flight to Goulburn Island with amphetamines on board has been nabbed by police.

The 25-year-old man travelled to Darwin from Maningrida on Saturday before organising a charter.

Police received a tip-off and intercepted the flight and discovered a large ball of cannabis wrapped in masking tape. The drugs weighed about 200g. The man will be summonsed for unlawfully supplying cannabis.
