2 charged with drug possession

A 24-YEAR-OLD woman and a 35-year-old man have been charged after police found drugs in their unit.

Their Coconut Grove unit was searched on December 29.

At the time, the woman was not home and a man was seen fleeing over the back fence.

Police found 141.4 grams of cannabis in clip-seal bags and PVC piping in the home. Ecstasy also was found.

Police found the woman last Wednesday and charged her with possession of a traffickable quantity of a chedule 2 drug.

Yesterday, the man presented at Darwin Police Station and was charged with possession of a traffickable quantity of a Schedule 2 drug.

Both were bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court on February 7.
