These are nationwide vigil dates from Amnesty as well as dates of other vigils being held around Australia, please promote them.
Details of vigils for this week are:
On the eve of the scheduled execution, Thursday 1 December, Australians
can show their support for Van and express their opposition to the death
penalty by attending Candles of Hope vigils in other capital cities and
towns including:
Sydney 6.30 pm, Martin Place, vigil with speaker, Tim
Goodwin
Adelaide 7.30pm, Victoria Square, vigil and speakers
Melbourne 7.30pm, Federation Square - silent candlelit walk
to Queen Victoria Gardens
Perth 8.00pm, Wesley Methodist Church, Cnr Hay and
William Street, all night silent vigil to conclude
with a minute’s silence at 6.00 am
Brisbane 6.15pm, Queen Street mall
Vigils will also be held in Warwick, Rockhampton
and Townsville

In Burnie, Tasmania people will be going to head down to our local Federal Liberal MP’s office just before 9am on Friday with some signs so we can express our disgust and opposition to the death penalty.
