Stuart Highway found guilty by kangaroo court

Stuart Highway contacted NAPNT by phone earlier today to report that he had been found guilty at a Kangaroo Court inside Darwin Prison for failing to provide a piss test for illicit drugs.

Stuart has been sentenced to serve his remaining 28 days with the loss of privileges. This may mean that Stuart will be unable to contact anyone by phone and he may have reduced access to his mail.

In other developments, NAPNT members and supporters are becoming frustrated with Stuart's continued incarceration. Check out some of the graffiti here and here.

Have you sprayed up 'Free Stuart Highway' in your community yet?

We have also just uploaded this image of NAPNT members Fiona Clarke and Rob Inder-Smith protestinng with Stuart's words at the International Human Rights Day art exhibition at the NT Supreme Court in Darwin.

NAPNT members are extremely concerned for Stuart’s welfare, please ring the Darwin Correctional Centre on (08) 8922 0111 (+61 8 8922 0111 from outside Australia) and demand that Stuart’s human rights are being respected. Please write to Stuart and let him know that he (and the other prisoners) has support on the outside.
