One-way ticket plan rejected

AUSTRALIA'S largest coach company rejected as "preposterous" a Territory Government scheme to bus heroin addicts interstate on one-way tickets.
Health Minister Fred Finch had announced travel assistance would be made available under strict guidelines for addicts to attend methadone programs interstate.
Stephen Jones, chief executive officer of Pioneer-Greyhound Coachlines, said drivers were under instruction to refuse entry to anyone who was visibly affected by alcohol "or any other substance."
