One-way ticket for addicts

10 YEARS AGO - ON THIS DAY


HEALTH Minister Fred Finch has announced a one-way-ticket-down-south system for Territory heroin addicts.


Mr Finch said travel assistance would be made available under strict guidelines for addicts to attend methadone programs interstate.


Mr Finch said no provision would be made for the patients to get help for their return journey.
