Two on drug charges

Maningrida police charged two men over drug offences at the remote community last Saturday.


A 41-year-old driver of a Toyota troop carrier carrying 10 passengers was caught with 67g of cannabis, a cask of wine and a bottle of rum.


A Toyota troop carrier driven by a 25-year-old man with 10 passengers also and towing a trailer with a dinghy was pulled over and 175g of cannabis found.


Both men were charged with possessing a trafficable quantity and supply of cannabis.
