Sniffing crime

Despite his criticism of Labor for “criminalizing drunkenness” instead of treating it as a health problem, Opposition Leader Denis Burke stood by his plans to make petrol sniffing illegal. “It is a different issue,” he said. “When it comes to petrol sniffing, I believe that it is a breach of the volatile substance act and it should be treated forcefully.”
