Media Alerts published by the Northern Territory chapter of the Network Against Prohibition (NAP). The Network Against Prohibition (NAP) is a group dedicated to promoting and protecting the health and human rights of illicit drug users around the globe as well as the rights of those living in communities in developing countries who rely on opium, coca, cannabis etc for their survival! NAP originally formed in Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia, however, an expansion is underway.

Parliament Invasion: Candidate in court

Scott White, the Network Against Prohibition candidate for the marginal seat of Casuarina, will appear in the Northern Territory Supreme Court this morning.

Scott was one of nine people who entered the NT Legislative Assembly on May 14, 2002 to protest against the Labor Government's draconian drug house legislation.

Scott has a directions hearing before Chief Justice Brian Martin today and faces a trial by jury commencing on July 18.

Senior cabinet members, including the Chief Minister Clare Martin, will be appearing as witnesses at the trial.
