Near-blow for NAP’s election bid
The Network Against Prohibition’s Northern Territory election campaign suffered a near-blow in the Supreme Court in Darwin today.
Stuart Highway, the NAP’s candidate for Nightcliff, had his bail revoked by Justice Trevor Riley after he failed to appear in court for a mention for charges arising from the sixth Smoke-in, in October, 2002.
After spending nearly two hours in the Supreme Court holding cells, Stuart was released on bail.
The NAP is running an undisclosed number of candidates in the June 18 election.
