napnt.org undergoes major revamp
Some of you may have noticed that the NAP website has undergone a major revamp over the past week.
We have revised the site menu on each of our main pages and have listed some of our most viewed pages as ‘Hot links’.
We have also added a new category ‘Current campaigns’ and this has a link to our new ‘drug house’ laws campaign page. Many people have asked us for information about the ‘drug house’ laws and we apologise for neglecting to do this sooner. This page is now a one-stop shop for anyone who wants to know about this draconian legislation and how they can get involved in the campaign for its repeal.
Eventually we hope to have campaign pages on the ‘Schedule 8’ drug issue and sniffer dogs.
The site index now has links to the new NAP blogs. Remember, if any Napatistas out there want a similar blog on napnt.org, please contact us.
We’re no longer using Google as our search facility. We have switched to Yahoo because we were having technical problems with Google. Yahoo seems to work just as well.
We also revised the external links on our site index. Some Napatistas had requested an easily accessible link to drug information on our main pages and we have now provided a link to the Vaults of Erowid. This site provides in-depth information about drugs and their effects.
We have included a link to ENCOD/ICN to reflect the NAP’s membership of this international network, and we now have direct links to the latest Australian and Global drug news archived by the Media Awareness Project.
The front page of the site has been amended to reflect three major NAP events that are coming up in the next few weeks and months, Scott White’s ‘parliament invasion’ court case (commencing July 18), our next community smoke-in (July 9) and the 2005 SyringeFest.
A new page has been uploaded, dedicated to Scott’s court case and this will be updated as things unfold.
The link previously titled ‘Email list’ has been retitled ‘Chat room and email list’. This is part of our efforts to get more Napatistas using our Yahoo chat facility. We will endeavour to have someone online in the chat room as often as we can. If you’re not a member of our Yahoogroup yet we encourage you to join.
And we finally have a site map.
As always, we appreciate any feedback.
