Charges out

Charges against a couple who police alleged possessed $40,000 worth of ecstasy were withdrawn yesterday.

Prosecutor Tiani McNamee told Darwin Magistrate’s Court “extra evidence” had been obtained and asked to withdraw the charges against Karel Goodhand and Melinda Frances Bartlett.

Magistrate Peter Dixon discharged Mr Goodhand and Ms Bartlett who left the court with lawyer Michael Powell.
