The Network Against Prohibition (NAP) is a group dedicated to promoting and protecting the health and human rights of illicit drug users around the globe as well as the rights of those living in communities in developing countries who rely on opium, coca, cannabis etc for their survival! NAP originally formed in Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia, however, an expansion is underway.

Another adjournment

Nicolette, Gary, Rob and Stuart appeared in the NT Supreme Court this morning, with Micky appearing by phone link. Ema was represented by Greg Smith from NT legal aid.


A trial date had been set for the occupation of Clare Martin's office. At their last appearance, Justice Sally Thomas set the date of the trial as the 3rd to the 13th of May.


No trial date had been set for the 6th smoke-in matter.


Today, Justice Riley informed the Napatistas that the trial date had been changed.


The trial for the CM office job will now take place on the 10th of October.


Justice Riley set the 17th of October for the commencement date of the trial for the 6th smoke-in. The Napatistas pointed out the disadvantage this would place them under, having to prepare for two trials, one after the other.


These matters will be mentioned again in the NT Supreme Court on the 2nd of June at 9am.


Still in court... the Napatistas have a mention in the NT Magistrate's Court tomorrow morning at 10am. This is for the 'backup' charges arising from the CM office job and the 6th smoke-in.


and Gary Meyerhoff would appreciate your support at 2pm tomorrow afternoon when he appeals against his conviction for billpasting. The hearing is at the Supreme Court.
