Murder accused admits lying about Hells' Angels
A Darwin teenager charged with double murder has told the Northern Territory Supreme Court that the involvement of the Hell's Angels in the women's deaths was untrue.
Ben William McLean and Phu Ngoc Trinh, both 19, have pleaded not guilty to killing two sex workers.
The women's bodies were found floating in the Adelaide River south-east of Darwin a year ago.
In two police interviews, McLean said he helped kill the women because of a drug debt with the Hell's Angels.
In court today, McLean said his evidence about the Hell's Angels was not true.
McLean's defence counsel also asked questions about the interviews.
McLean said he did not kill the women and was not there when they died.
The trial continues.
