Darwin man found not guilty of drugs charges
A Northern Territory Supreme Court jury has acquitted a Darwin man charged with procuring another man to import the drug ephedrine from Indonesia.
Phillip Douglas Primmer pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecution claimed Mr Primmer had encouraged Adam Blake to import 21 kilograms of the drug from Indonesia to Darwin between January and December 2002.
After three weeks of evidence and 10 witnesses a quick deliberation led the jury to find Mr Primmer not guilty.
