An increased U.S. military presence in Northern Australia would have a devastating impact on local communities. Internationally, U.S. bases and "training facilities" have led to increased incidence of sexual assault and rape; environmental degradation and increased restriction on civil liberties of local residents.

Australia's support for the foreign policy and military strategy of the U.S. is dangerous and makes this country complicit in war crimes - from Iraq to Afghanistan to Guantanomo Bay. It's time to tell the government enough is enough. No support for the U.S. warmongers. No U.S. bases in Australia. No "training facility" in Northern Australia.
