18TH COMMUNITY SMOKE-IN FOR HUMAN RIGHTS

12noon, Saturday 10th July

Raintree Park

Our usual drug law reform rally in Raintree Park, with a Christmas in July theme. Santa will be coming and there will be presents for all of the kiddies.

STOP PRESS: Darwin City Council have refused to issue NAP with a permit for the smoke-in on saturday. The event will go ahead with or without a permit. If we are forced to proceed without a permit we will need more people than we have been getting lately. Please come along and show your support.

Those of you are are up to being arrested on Saturday if things turn messy can attend a legal workshop on Friday night (please think about this seriously before making a decision about being arrested, there are a number of consequences). Call 8942 0570 for more info.

We will be hoping for a trouble free event but remember a new council has been elected and we did embaress them during the election campaign.

Please remind everyone about the smoke-in and bring as many of your mates as you can.

Get the latest on the permit situation from Darwin Indymedia.
