Ecstasy seized in specially marked bags

Alice Springs police have warned parents to be on the lookout for any plastic bags their children may have with the "Playboy" symbol on it.

Police say they seized an amount of ecstasy and Ketamine, or Special K, and around $9,000 in cash when they raided an Alice Springs residence on Thursday night.

Acting detective Superintendent John Nixon says the drugs were found in distinctive plastic bags.

"Most of the tablets were found in small little plastic bags with the Playboy symbol on the front of these plastic bag, so we urge members of the public and particularly parents if they find bags with this symbol on it to notify police," he said.

Police say a 24-year-old Alice Springs man appeared in the Magistrates Court this morning on a number of drugs charges and was remanded in custody until July 5.
