NAPNT in the Media

The Network Against Prohibition (NAP) is a group dedicated to promoting and protecting the health and human rights of illicit drug users around the globe as well as the rights of those living in communities in developing countries who rely on opium, coca, cannabis etc for their survival! NAP originally formed in Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia, however, an expansion is underway.

High on life not drugs

Recently I saw a demonstration in the city opposed to the NT’s drug house laws. These people often claim that illegal drugs such as marijuana do not harm anyone.

I think the claim is complete nonsense. There is already too much misuse of alcohol and drugs in this community to the detriment of everyone.

We should be encouraging people to find solutions and enjoyment naturally rather than trying to find solutions in a drug-filled world whereby they cannot function without drugs.

Frankly, I couldn’t care less if these people overdose, or destroy themselves on drugs.

This is their problem and they are totally responsible for it.

Many people I have known over the years have had significant problems to encounter and overcome, which they have done to become honest and good people who are good role models for their children.

Instead of taking dangerous drugs, people should be encouraged to take part in positive actions such as going to the library, playing sport, involvement in music, being with loved ones and generally being a good role model for their children instead of a negative one.
