The Network Against Prohibition (NAP) is a group dedicated to promoting and protecting the health and human rights of illicit drug users around the globe as well as the rights of those living in communities in developing countries who rely on opium, coca, cannabis etc for their survival! NAP originally formed in Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia, however, an expansion is underway.

Network Against Prohibition begins protest

The Network Against Prohibition in Darwin says it plans to set up a week-long peace embassy near Parliament House from today, despite failing to get all the necessary approvals.

The network says the embassy is part of May Day action against corporate globalisation and drug prohibition.

It says the Darwin City Council has given organisers a permit for two days out of seven, during daylight hours.

The Chief Minister's office has not responded to their request for electricity or the use of toilets in Parliament House, but organisers say it has promised a whole of Government response.
