NAPNT in the Media

The Network Against Prohibition (NAP) is a group dedicated to promoting and protecting the health and human rights of illicit drug users around the globe as well as the rights of those living in communities in developing countries who rely on opium, coca, cannabis etc for their survival! NAP originally formed in Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia, however, an expansion is underway.

Joint action over drug laws

Campaigners against the Territory Government’s proposed drug house laws will smoke a giant “joint” in Darwin’s Raintree Park on Saturday.

Network Against Prohibition activist Scott White said yesterday: “It’s extremely important that people come out to this event to demonstrate to the Labor Government the absurdity of their approach to illicit drugs.

“We are expecting a wide cross-section of the Territory community to attend.”

The activists oppose a zero-tolerance policy for illegal drugs, having surrendered themselves to police last week after having smoked cannabis.

Before that they were arrested after protesting outside the Justice Department office in Mitchell St, Darwin.
